Arizona Horse Festival:
The first annual Arizona Horse Festival & Expo premieres November 9, 10 and 11, at
Empty Acres Equine Resort in Buckeye, Arizona. The Arizona Horse Festival
is a three day horse fair and exposition, for horse owners and horse enthusiasts, featuring world-class
instructors, breed showcases, educational lectures, and a trade show of equine products.
In addition, there will be special performances Friday and Saturday evenings, featuring two dynamic
shows of action-packed equine entertainment! What’s Happening at the AZ Horse Festival?
"This is not a horse show, but a festival of horses for horse lovers and horse owners of all disciplines.
Once you’re on the expo grounds, you can choose from up to 5 events running concurrently to attend", said
Lise Streit Operations Manager for the Arizona Horse Festival. "Throughout the 3 day expo, we’ll have
demonstrations and "how-to" clinics by top-notch instructors coming in from all over the United States.
The Budweiser Clydesdales will be here, plus we have The Extreme Cowboy Race with Craig Cameron,
shopping at our the trade show, pony rides and the Buckaroo/Buckerette stick horse rodeo for kids, 4-H Day
on Sunday, educational lectures and various types of entertainment with horses. In addition, people are
free to walk around the grounds, look at horses in the stalls, and visit with clinicians at their booths
in the trade show tent." Streit continued, "There’s an abbreviated schedule of events at

Dancing with Horses! presented by Avondale Toyota features fantastic family fun for horse lovers of
all ages! Equine Extremist Tommy Turvey will headline the evening show, with rousing Roman Riding, comedy, tricks
and sensational stunts with horses. Dance with Horses? You bet! See Dressage horses glide and Reining horses slide,
as they "dance" to music. See the tiny miniature horse drill team "soft shoe" with precision, and Karen Scholl’s
high-stepping Andalusian will waltz and twirl in tune to the music. Thrills will mount in the "reverse limbo"
jump-off competition - how high can the horses jump?! This is just a sampling of the symphony of equine entertainment
presented at 7:30pm, both Friday November 9 and Saturday November 10 at the Arizona Horse Festival. Hours, Tickets, More Info.
Event hours for the Arizona Horse Festival and Expo are Friday November 9 from 10am to 7pm;
Saturday November 10 from 9am to 7pm; and Sunday November 11 from 9am to 5pm. What to Bring with You
Bring a hat, sunscreen, lawn chair and wear comfortable walking shoes to the Arizona Horse Festival.
Some events are under cover and some are outdoors. Concessions are available on site. Please leave your pets at
home, and bring the whole family for a fun weekend with horses! |
