Lise Streit

Lise’s involvement with horses started at a very early age where her family owned and operated a ranch near Walden, Colorado. She grew up working cattle and riding in the Rocky Mountains. "Trail riding is my passion; it’s what I do for relaxation."

After moving to Kansas, Lise opened a horse boarding facility where she gave western riding lessons. She worked for the Chamber of Commerce where she coordinated retail events that included giving horseback rides to the public.

In 1994, Lise became a Director on the Kansas Horse Council Board. She started a state-wide program where she placed representatives in each of the five regions in Kansas to serve as contacts for horse owners.

In 1998, Lise became the Executive Director of the Kansas Horse Council, running their operations from her office. Lise and Ann White started "Equifest of Kansas" for the horse council with its first year’s expo opening in 1998. Lise continues to organize and work the Equifest event, which will be in its Tenth year in 2007.

Annually, Lise organizes a ride in the Rocky Mountains for women. She also organizes dream rides for Purina. Nationally, she organizes equine events from clinics to horse expos and manages clinicians in all disciplines.

Lise’s knowledge of the horse industry along with her organizational skills makes her the perfect candidate for coordinating equine events.
